Richard Prince recently said something along the lines of “my favorite place is the studio.”
It would be nice to see his passion somewhere else other than the market.

Richard Prince is someone who has made a living on selling out. All of his work is created using images that have already been published in major magazines and newspapers. His work lacks the originality of today’s most influential and promising artists–which are few and far between in the first place. His latest endeavor is collaborating (this is the first time he has received permission to use someone else’s imagery) with Louis Vuitton to make a horrific handbag. If Richard Prince can’t sell his own “label” without using a name brand as big as LV then he should get another day job.
